Coverage overview
Pikesville is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, which has no incorporated municipalities anywhere in the county, not even Towson, the county seat. That same honest framing applies to most of the towns listed below: being unincorporated does not mean a place is any less real or any less served, it just means there is no separate town government layered on top of the county.
A few towns on this list are genuinely different. Sykesville is an incorporated town. Columbia is an unincorporated planned community with some common-area governance through a nonprofit association rather than a town government. Towson has no town government at all despite being the county seat. We describe each one honestly rather than treating every nearby place the same way.
Baltimore itself is the one large exception on this list: an independent city, not part of any county. Of its many ZIP codes, only the ten that fall within about 15 miles of Pikesville are covered here; ZIP codes further into the city are outside our confirmed coverage range.
